The Rega ELEX MK4 is designed to provide powerful, detailed and musical stereo performance while offering the connectivity needed for both analogue and digital sources. Its redesigned Class A/B power amplifier circuit delivers 72W per channel into 8Ω, increasing to 90W into 6Ω, making it suitable for a wide range of Hi-Fi loudspeakers.

The ELEX MK4 includes a dedicated moving-magnet (MM) phono stage, making it an excellent choice for turntable-based systems. It also incorporates a Rega-designed DAC circuit with one optical and one coaxial S/PDIF input, supporting digital audio from 32kHz through 192kHz and 16- to 24-bit resolution.

For additional system flexibility, the amplifier provides four line-level inputs, a record output, pre-amplifier output and a convenient front-mounted headphone output. The headphone stage provides selectable performance across common headphone impedances, while the amplifier's discrete circuitry, high-quality relays, polypropylene capacitors and Sanken output transistors contribute to its performance-focused design.
