The Rega Aethos represents the culmination of decades of amplifier design expertise, combining a pure analogue signal path with high-current amplification to deliver a truly engaging musical experience. Every aspect of the amplifier has been developed with one objective—to reproduce music as faithfully and naturally as possible.

The preamplifier section employs a fully discrete Class A FET-based design, while the dual-mono Class AB output stage uses four 160W Sanken output transistors per channel. Powered by a large custom-wound toroidal transformer with independently regulated supplies for the preamp and power stages, the Aethos provides outstanding channel separation, low noise, and exceptional dynamic capability.

With five line-level RCA inputs, a dedicated Direct Input for use as a power amplifier, a preamplifier output, and a record output, the Aethos offers excellent flexibility for integrating external components. The integrated headphone amplifier is carefully implemented using the output mute relay to preserve signal integrity, ensuring outstanding performance for private listening.

The robust aluminium chassis and carefully optimised internal layout minimise vibration and interference, while premium-grade components throughout the signal path contribute to the amplifier's refined, transparent and highly musical sound character.
