The D-Link DES-1008P is a compact and cost-effective unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch designed for small business and home surveillance applications. It features 8 × 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, with 4 ports supporting IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE), enabling devices to receive both data and power through a single Ethernet cable.

Each PoE port can deliver up to 15.4W, with a total PoE power budget of approximately 56W, making it suitable for powering multiple IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones without the need for separate power adapters.
