The TP-Link MC200CM is a reliable Gigabit multi-mode fiber media converter designed to bridge Ethernet copper networks with fiber optic infrastructure. It complies with IEEE 802.3ab (1000Base-T) and IEEE 802.3z (1000Base-SX) standards and is specifically built for multi-mode fiber (SC connector, 850 nm wavelength).

It provides full wire-speed Gigabit performance (1000 Mbps) and supports auto-negotiation of half/full duplex, ensuring smooth and stable data transmission between fiber and Ethernet networks. With a maximum transmission distance of up to 550 meters (0.55 km) over multi-mode fiber, it is ideal for short-range backbone connections in buildings, campuses, CCTV systems, and enterprise LAN extensions.

The device supports Auto MDI/MDIX on the RJ45 port, eliminating the need for crossover cables, and includes plug-and-play functionality for easy installation without configuration. It can operate as a standalone unit or be mounted in a TP-Link TL-MC1400 rack chassis for centralized deployment in professional setups.

Its compact design, low power consumption, and LED status indicators make it simple to deploy and monitor in any network environment.
