The Parasound Zphono is a high-performance phono preamplifier designed to provide clean, accurate and engaging vinyl playback from both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges. Its low-noise precision analogue circuit is engineered to preserve the character and detail of your records while providing the correct gain and equalisation required by a dedicated phono stage.

The Zphono offers switchable MM and MC operation, with 46dB gain for Moving Magnet cartridges and 61dB for Moving Coil cartridges. Input impedance is set at 47kΩ for MM cartridges and 100Ω for MC cartridges, providing compatibility with a broad range of turntable cartridge designs.

Precision RIAA equalisation is accurate to ±0.25dB from 20Hz to 20kHz, while high-speed, low-noise op-amps and audiophile-grade resistors and capacitors help maintain low distortion and excellent sonic clarity. An exclusive AC polarity switch is included to help reduce unwanted hum.

The Zphono uses an internal power supply rather than an external wall-wart transformer, helping maintain a clean and compact installation. Gold-plated RCA input and output connectors provide reliable analogue connections, while its unique half-rack-width chassis makes it suitable for rack or desktop applications.

With its combination of MM/MC compatibility, precise RIAA equalisation, low-noise circuitry and compact construction, the Parasound Zphono is an excellent upgrade for turntables and audio systems that require a dedicated phono preamplifier.
