The Parasound Halo A52+ is a high-performance 5-channel power amplifier designed for demanding home-theatre, music and multi-channel audio systems. Developed with legendary audio engineer John Curl, it combines high-bias Class A/AB amplification with a direct-coupled signal path for clean, dynamic and detailed sound reproduction.

The amplifier delivers 180W per channel into 8Ω and 255W per channel into 4Ω with all five channels driven across the full 20Hz–20kHz audio bandwidth. When only two channels are driven, the A52+ can deliver 225W × 2 into 8Ω and 350W × 2 into 4Ω. Its 45A peak current capability per channel provides strong control over demanding loudspeakers.

A custom 1.5kVA encapsulated toroidal transformer uses independent secondary windings for each channel, while 100,000µF of filter capacitance provides substantial energy storage for demanding musical and cinematic passages. Hand-matched JFET input devices, MOSFET drivers and beta-matched high-current bipolar output transistors form a robust output stage.

For flexible system integration, the A52+ includes five balanced XLR inputs and five unbalanced RCA inputs. Its direct-coupled topology eliminates capacitors and inductors from the audio signal path, while the wide 5Hz–100kHz frequency response supports extended low-frequency and high-frequency reproduction.

The amplifier features heavy-duty 24k gold-plated 5-way speaker terminals, DC servo and relay protection circuits, and automatic turn-on through either a 12V trigger or audio signal. Its 3U chassis is rack-mountable with optional hardware.

With its combination of five high-powered channels, substantial current capability, premium power supply and John Curl-designed circuitry, the Parasound Halo A52+ is an excellent choice for powering a high-end home-theatre system or multi-channel music setup.
