The JBL Synthesis SDP-55 is a flagship 16-channel AV processor/preamplifier developed for enthusiasts and custom home cinema installations demanding uncompromising audio performance. Built on JBL Synthesis engineering, it combines immersive surround processing, audiophile-grade components, and advanced room optimisation to create a true reference-level cinema experience.

Supporting Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X®, Auro-3D®, and IMAX Enhanced, the SDP-55 processes up to 16 discrete audio channels with additional configurable channels for flexible speaker layouts. Integrated Dirac Live® with Bass Control automatically calibrates speakers and subwoofers, delivering accurate sound staging, balanced bass, and exceptional clarity in virtually any listening room.

The processor features 16 balanced XLR outputs and 16 RCA outputs for seamless integration with external multi-channel amplifiers. DANTE™ digital audio networking enables all processed channels and Zone 2 audio to be transmitted over a single CAT5e/CAT6 cable, making it suitable for both residential and commercial AV installations.

Video performance is equally impressive, with HDMI 2.0b supporting 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDCP 2.2 compatibility. The SDP-55 also includes Google Chromecast built-in, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Bluetooth, Roon Ready, and MQA support for high-resolution music streaming.

Comprehensive IP, RS-232, and IR control make the processor ideal for integration with professional automation systems such as Control4, Crestron, and RTI, making the JBL Synthesis SDP-55 the perfect centrepiece for premium home theatre installations.
