The Emotiva BasX MR1 is engineered for enthusiasts who demand the performance of separate AV processors and power amplifiers in a single receiver. It integrates a 13.2-channel surround processor with an 11-channel high-current Class A/B amplifier, making it capable of powering immersive 7.2.4, 5.2.6, and other Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® speaker configurations.

At its core is a robust linear power supply with a large toroidal transformer, providing exceptional current delivery and dynamic headroom. The amplifier delivers 160W per channel into 8Ω (1 or 2 channels driven), 135W per channel into 8Ω (5 channels driven), and 100W per channel into 8Ω with all 11 channels driven, ensuring consistent performance during demanding movie soundtracks and high-resolution music playback.

The video section includes six HDMI 2.0b inputs and two HDMI outputs, supporting 4K Ultra HD, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, HDCP 2.2, ARC, and eARC for compatibility with modern TVs, projectors, gaming consoles, and media players.

For audio connectivity, the BasX MR1 offers USB Audio, Bluetooth with aptX, two optical, two coaxial, and four analogue RCA inputs, along with a complete 13.2-channel RCA pre-out section and balanced subwoofer outputs, allowing integration with external power amplifiers for larger systems. Automatic EmoQ™ room correction, manual EQ adjustments, and support for Dolby Surround and DTS Neural:X upmixing help optimise sound for any listening environment.
