Dlink 6-Port 10/100 Long Range PoE+ Surveillance Switch DES-F1006P-E

The D-Link DES-F1006P-E is a compact unmanaged PoE switch built specifically for surveillance and small business applications. It includes 6 × 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet ports, with 4 ports supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE) and 2 ports dedicated for uplink connectivity. It is designed to power and connect devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones using a single Ethernet cable.

Each PoE port supports IEEE 802.3af/802.3at standards, delivering up to 15.4W per port with a total PoE power budget of 60W. This allows multiple low-power PoE devices to operate without separate power adapters, simplifying installation and reducing cabling complexity in CCTV deployments.

A key feature of the DES-F1006P-E is its long-range PoE capability, which supports data and power transmission up to 250 meters on compatible ports (in extend mode). This makes it ideal for large-area surveillance installations such as parking lots, warehouses, campuses, and outdoor environments where cameras may be installed far from the switch location.

The switch is designed with plug-and-play functionality, requiring no configuration or software setup. It supports Auto MDI/MDIX on all ports, IEEE 802.3x flow control for stable transmission, and store-and-forward switching for reliable data handling.
