The Denon PMA-1700NE is a high-performance 2-channel integrated amplifier engineered for detailed and powerful stereo music reproduction. Its Ultra High Current single push-pull amplifier design delivers 70W per channel into 8Ω and 140W per channel into 4Ω, allowing it to drive a wide range of loudspeakers with excellent control and stability.

For digital sources, the PMA-1700NE incorporates a high-resolution USB-DAC and Advanced AL32 Processing Plus. The digital processing system supports high-resolution audio up to 384kHz/32-bit, helping reproduce music with greater detail and accuracy. USB-B, optical and coaxial digital inputs allow connection to computers, CD players, televisions and other digital sources.

Analogue listeners are supported with a built-in MM/MC phono equalizer, allowing direct connection of both moving-magnet and moving-coil turntables. The amplifier also provides a dedicated Analog Mode that disables digital circuitry to minimise interference when enjoying analogue sources.

The PMA-1700NE features precise electronic controls for volume, balance and tone, along with Source Direct operation for a more direct signal path. A dedicated headphone amplifier provides convenient private listening.

The amplifier supports speaker connections for loads from 4Ω to 16Ω when using either Speaker A or B, while simultaneous A+B operation supports 8Ω to 16Ω speakers. Its robust aluminium front panel, substantial heatsink and rigid chassis construction complement its high-current amplification design.
