The Arcam AVR5 is a premium AV receiver engineered to deliver exceptional musicality and immersive cinematic sound. Combining Arcam's high-fidelity amplifier technology with advanced surround processing, it provides a powerful foundation for sophisticated home cinema systems.

The AVR5 incorporates seven channels of Class AB power amplification, based on the amplifier technology used in Arcam's stereo products. It delivers 80W per channel into 8 ohms with two channels driven, while seven-channel operation is rated at 60W per channel into 8 ohms. Its over-engineered power supply and transformer are designed to provide clean, stable power with low noise.

For immersive audio, the AVR5 supports native 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos, DTS and Auro-3D decoding, with processing for up to 12 channels. The receiver's seven internal amplifier channels can be used for configurations such as 5.1.2 or 7.1, while larger immersive systems can be expanded using additional amplification.

Video connectivity includes seven HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, with HDMI 2.0b, HDCP 2.2, 4K UHD support and eARC compatibility. The AVR5 supports modern HDR formats including HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision, making it suitable for high-quality 4K home cinema systems.

At the heart of its digital audio section are dual ESS 9026PRO audiophile DACs with ESS reference voltage regulators, designed to provide clean and detailed digital-to-analogue conversion.

The AVR5 is also ready for Dirac Live room correction, which can be activated with a separately purchased licence. Integrated streaming includes Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, UPnP, Bluetooth aptX HD and Roon Ready functionality. Wi-Fi, Ethernet, RS232 and IR control provide additional connectivity and installation flexibility.
